So they're already kind of punch drunk on battle and exhausted.

David Render spots a Panzer through his binoculars and says,

AP, traverse right 800 yards.

Enemy Hornet dug in to the right side of prominent building.

And his gunner fires a shot, which is too short.

Render then swaps places with him and fires another shot himself, and then some more.

And all of these are hits.

And Render has got his... He's had sort of two and a half weeks in the battle zone, and he's now...

He's hardened.

And he knows it, and he's got the control of his men.

He's got that national authority, even though he's only 19.

He now knows what he's about.

This is all in an evening.

There's this brilliant moment where he's shooting a Tiger that he sees emerge at Roray, the little hamlet village of Roray.

And another trooper tells him over the radio that he thinks Dring has missed and hit a brick wall.

And Dring just goes, you don't see a brick wall spark like that.

It's incredible.

And they also hit this panther, this panther tank, which suddenly streaks across their front from the western side.

A panther just suddenly appears along the road.

And it's obviously, again, it's a bit like... It's another one of these.
