And of course, when you get hit, if you're a tank commander, the first thing you do is then retreat into the turret.
Yeah.
The moment you retreat in the turret, you're dependent on periscopes, but you've also got, in those first seconds, you've got to adjust and be able to get into change position, look at the periscope, and all you can see is smoke.
Yeah.
So it goes hit, hit, hit.
No one can see anything, so no one can fire.
So then they hand a hook, they come out and they surrender.
Amazing.
So they haven't actually knocked out, they haven't brewed up the tank.
No.
It's just disabled it.
And it's disabled it because it's no longer got a crew.
And what this shows is that experience and rate of fire are really, really important in this scenario.
And the thing about that Tiger tank is what the hell was he doing there?
And what's really interesting is that afternoon,
Muncher, who is the 12th SS Brigade Commander, has been told to organise a battle group.
And they're absolutely run ragged by this stage.
They've been in combat since 7th of June.
They haven't had replacements.
They're not getting David Render's equivalents in straight immediately.
