And it's just, that's how quickly it can flip.
You can be 13-0 one day, you can be three knocked out in a trice the next day.
And that won't be the first time that happens, the last time that happens.
So they secure the ridge and then that's kind of, they're then kind of slightly demob happy after that.
And so they're all relaxed a bit.
But I think it's worth, just before we finish this episode and this fourth episode in this series, of just going through
what John Semkin has had to do in that 24 hours of Monday, the 26th of June.
I mean, it is quite extraordinary.
This is the pressure these guys are under.
And don't forget that Semkin, age 23, is a squadron commander with, you know, 150 men under his charge.
So you kick off
00.30, so half past midnight.
And that's an O group with Stanley Christopherson and the senior officers.
So an O group is an orders group.
That's where you do briefing for what you're going to be doing the following day, gathering around the Jeep or the Humber Scout car or whatever it is, chatting through what they're going to do, maps out, all the rest of it.
Briefing of the previous day's events and the plans for the following day.
Then you can go and get a little bit of kip.
3.30, wake up, have a cup of tea.
Yep.
I mean, it's just relentless, isn't it?
