We're jumping the gun a little bit here, but by sort of middle of July, 1944, that is changing.
to four troops or four tanks.
Well, at this stage, they're kind of like a praetorian guard at squadron headquarters.
So you have your five troops with three tanks, and then you have your four tanks of the squadron headquarters.
And at this stage, that would be the fireflies.
Yeah, and this is like a sort of bastardised Sherman.

There's a bit later, it's probably more like five, because it's double summertime.

So Major Roger Sutton-Nelforp, he is the commander of the echelons.
And he's been around since year dot.
So he's one of the pre or regulars.
He goes out with horses into Palestine in January 1940.
He's been there forever.
He's like this permanent fixture and always in that role.
And he does it incredibly well.
And once you've got someone who's handling the echelons really well, you just don't want to change them.
And obviously, they're not quite in the firing... It's always a dangerous job if you're going to war, but because they're not in the firing line, you know, it's a less dangerous job.
