So they landed with the 50th Tyne Tees.
The 50th Tyne Tees then got kind of switched somewhere else.
And in their place came the 49th Polar Bear Division.
And they're so-called the Polar Bear because they'd been stationed on Iceland.
They hadn't really seen any action.
You don't see an awful lot.
When you're a garrison.
When you're a garrison on Iceland.
Yeah.
So that was a problem.
And the problem was, again, this whole outranking system.
That you had the completely greenhorn infantry division outranking the incredibly well-experienced...
Sherwood Rangers and 4th 7th Regiment Guards.
And that was a bit of a problem.
But they're kind of sorting out.
And it's really interesting when you look at all the brigade conference minutes and things like that, all you see is from the three armoured regiments, the 24th Lancers, 4th 7th Regiment Guards and Sherwood Rangers.
All they're doing is sort of mithering about the fact that
the infantry don't seem to know what to do, and they're not supporting them properly.
Because it's a two-way thing.
The infantry are the eyes and ears of the armor on the ground.
