Recently, I heard a...
I think he's a motivator speaker now, but he was a high school basketball coach.
And he was giving the story that Kobe Bryant, we all know Kobe Bryant, one of the greatest basketball players out there, very talented.
This coach was actually invited to a coaching camp that Kobe was at.
And he got up early one morning, and he's watching Kobe practice, 4 o'clock in the morning.
And he's running basic drills.
Same drills this coach ran with his high school team.
Same drills the coach ran with his rec team, you know, five, six, seven-year-olds.
Now, yes, Kobe was doing it at a higher level, but same concept.
So the coach went up to him and go, you're one of the greatest out here.
Why are you wasting your time with the basics?
And Kobe's response was, I am one of the greatest because I focus on the basics.
Definitely.
And then the last advice I would get is even if you have a complicated project, cool.
Break it down in chunks.
As we always say, best way to eat an elephant, one bite at a time.
I remember my first large-scale coding project I did.
all custom code and stuff.
I was like lost.
I was like, what, like, how am I going to do this?
