The players you mentioned there, we had such a strong bond and friendship and one that will last for a lifetime.
The group of players, incredible.
Started with the manager and the victory parades through the city when we won the trophies, probably some of the greatest days of your life.
That's what you do it for.
So to share those with your mates, pretty special times.
Yeah, I just felt like I had more to give still.
I felt like I could play and everyone you speak to says you can play as long as you can.
That's everyone who had retired, obviously plays as long as you can.
Physically, I was still pretty good.
Ads, obviously, was here, done an incredible job at Brighton and sung its praises and spoke to the manager, Roberto.
Infectious, love for the game, passionate.
Again, you want to be part of something that's pushing and to play in the first season of Europe in the club's history was special to be part of that.
Again, you just want to come and try and bring your knowledge and help the young team and the club get to the next level.
Obviously, the journey of Brighton has been incredible.
I played against them when I was at Swindon in League One, so to see them playing in Europe and being part of that was amazing.
You see how hungry they are for success and you want to be part of that and help where you can.
What's your role at Brighton now?
Yeah I think obviously you still want to contribute on the pitch first and foremost that's number one so I try and look after myself best I can and be available as much as I can for the manager and you know it's been nice to play more minutes the last few games and contribute on the field and feel like I've done alright in those games so that's pleasing number one you're still always a player but I know obviously off the field is more and more important and help the manager where I can help the lads you know whether they need a
of a kick up the bum or whether an arm around them you know i think the more you
the years you've done as a senior player, you can get a sense for that.
