So he left the boy for dead, covered him up with leaves.
All of this for $80.
Somehow, the boy survived.
Being stabbed many times with a hunting knife and having his throat slit, he survived.
And jiggled back and forth.
He survived, dug himself out of the leaves, and somehow stumbled until he found somebody and got help.
Which is almost worse than killing him because now he definitely knows who you are and he can tell the court all the horrible things he's done to you.
And the scars that you're going to have from that, you're never going to forget this piece of shit.
