If you were in my class, Mr. Hilton, you would learn in my bankruptcy and consumer protection class that the majority of homeless people in California are actually working.
They're not just people on the streets.
It's not just people with mental illness or people with drug or substance use problems.
It's also families who are fleeing intimate partner and domestic violence.
It's people who are double and tripled up.
It's people who are living in their cars on our college campuses.
Homelessness comes in a lot of different forms, and if we don't see the whole problem, if we demonize them from one perspective, we'll never be able to solve this problem.

But also it's, as all of you know, necessary to fight climate change.
It is now existential that we try to reduce our meat consumption and that we try to respect animals in all aspects of society.
And so I am proud to say that our campaign has officially become a non-meat campaign.
