And because blind auditions, while they may have helped women,
over the last generation.
They didn't help minorities.
Now that's being advanced as some evidence that there's some racism in the process.
These race hustler types love to say, we're not exactly sure where the racism is, but we see it in the outcomes.
So it must be somewhere.
So my political views, I used to keep them to myself when I was a symphony musician because
All arts organizations are left-leaning.
I was perfectly happy to just come into the orchestra, do my job, and leave.
But then, you know, the more advocacy types will start saying, look, this guy voted for Donald Trump.
He's dangerous.
He's racist.
And I really was not putting up with that even for one second.
Not just because I'm a right-leaning person, but because I don't think anybody's political views should factor into the equation at all.
I think arts should exist above politics.
Yeah.
So there's that whole approach, like we need to just build new institutions and forget about the old ones.
But it's not really feasible because every city can only really support one great orchestra.
The concert halls are already there.
And let's face it, orchestras are not as popular now as they were 100 years ago.
