I know what the preparation was like, I obviously took a penalty and missed one, but when you come away from England, was there anything you would have done differently?

Because not everyone knows what you were doing at the time.

Well we were taking penalties after every training session.

So basically I was a substitute and got brought on to take a penalty because I never missed one in about six weeks.

But I always say the difference was I was taking them against Paul Robinson.

Yeah.

If the England came back... Well, Paul, he's not here to defend himself.

Yeah, listen, I actually took three penalties.

I took two for Liverpool, I scored, I missed the one for England.

Of course it's a nerve-wracking experience.

Yeah, but listen, I was confident from training.

Sven's right, it's not the same as training.

But I think this argument that Sven mentioned is exactly right.

It's very difficult to recreate that.

You cannot.

No, you can't train it, but people will then argue about recreating a golfer who has a putt to win the Open.
