Name we've heard, and it's not official yet, but the first kind of addition to the front office for the Canucks comes in the player development role and a former agent, again, per reporting by Puckpedia, in Kamloops native Darren Hermiston.
Executive vice president.
Yeah, executive vice president.
Yeah, he was really good in Winnipeg for a couple seasons, and then bad in L.A., and then really good in Washington the next year.
Like Caleb Mahotra.
I also think, you know.
On the experience front, I was thinking about this yesterday as well.
When Craig Conroy got hired as the GM in Calgary, one of his first hires was our old pal Dave Nones, right?
And that, like, I think it's fair to say, considering how long it had been since Nones had been a GM, and he'd been kind of, you know, he'd been doing media stuff, not necessarily working in a front office, that wasn't as high-profile a hire as someone like Rob Blake, who's a very recent top hockey operations decision maker.
Like, high-profile name, all that.
but it still checks the box you're talking about.
So it doesn't necessarily have to be that.
And I, and I think Craig Conroy has done a pretty impressive job so far in Calgary.
And like, you know, credit to Dave known as for being a part of that.
So there are other names to fill that role, but don't necessarily have to be like either, either someone like Mark Bergevin where people are like, Oh my God, what are you doing?
