Could Nick Ehlers, given his performance, his goal scoring, could he stage a late comeback, a late rally to win it?
Maybe, but I think we're probably looking at one of those games.
One of those three guys from the top line, or sorry, I should say the second line for Carolina, if it's been so productive, it's been the top line for them.
I get that the goals are going to capture a lot of the attention.
I just think Mitch Marner, and again, it's not a Stanley Cup final award, right?
Mitch Marner from game one of the playoffs till right now has been so productive, and we all know that he is the play driver, him and Jack Eichel, right?
such an important play driver for Vegas and I think that the cons my voters are kind of smart enough to make that distinction now you never know right because goal totals they can do a lot and I think it was the year that Jonathan Marcheseau won the Calder or sorry when the cons might I should say for Vegas when they won the cup previously you know he had 13 goals 25 points so
So it was still pretty balanced, but Jack Eichel was an absolute beast in that playoffs, just didn't really have the goal-scoring totals.
He had six goals and 20 assists, and I thought Jack Eichel, because he was a two-way center, had a really, really strong case to win the conspife that season.
Could we see something similar with Howden versus Marner?
Yeah, we could, except I think Marcheseau was a much more complete player than Howden is.
And Marner is having just a really sensational Stanley Cup playoff.
So I still think barring something crazy, because again, there's still three more games to win for Vegas here.
But if Marner remains productive and you look at it, the total track record from the start of the playoffs, it's Mitch Marner's to win.
If the Vegas Golden Knights figure out a way to take home the Stanley Cup.
The other thing I wanted to chat about with Shannon Goldman that we didn't get a chance was the
