So maybe when it gets narrowed down a little bit you get past the group stages.
You get a little bit more into it, but it's a nice turn that there's something else on the telly than what we've seen for the other 12 months here.
uh everybody's got a chance so to speak um that there isn't one mold that's the correct correct one and if you want to win and then we know we talk about this copycat league um but but it was two polar opposite that was in the finals here it was a star-studded vegas team that was stacked in in certain positions and then it was an all-around deep team in in carolina that that found value in players other teams maybe didn't value as much and uh
It just worked out for them.
It's one of those things like get into the playoff, get going and then see where you can get to.
Carolina, yeah, they were good pretty much the entire way and nothing really changed for them.
But Vegas were slumping into the playoffs and then caught fire.
there you are and now you have a chance to to win a cup with their roster better than what they showed in the regular season yes they were um but again it's one of those things uh you need things going your way um i wouldn't necessarily go in and say okay i'm gonna model or build my team like carolina because they just won um i i think you gotta look a little bit more internally and see what do we have and then what are our strengths and then uh shape and build our team in that direction
Well, they won without a number one true superstar or two or three.
You could say that the best two, three players, they might have been on Vegas individually.
So if you say we're going to draft from these two teams, the first player picked is not from Carolina and neither is number two.
probably not number three either um but but that doesn't mean you can't win if you have a team that that function and play and works well obviously you had players playing above capacity if you will um but but again it goes to show that like um there is a lot of parity and i know that carolina was the top team in the east and vegas on paper was the top team in the west but like once you get in um
It's everybody's chance.
Again, your players need to perform.
And if they don't perform in a couple of games, that might be it for a series.
Carolina have the benefit of being able to have their line or a line disappear at times because they had other lines stepping up doing it in their absence.
So they were maybe able to get away with their top line not producing early on because they had other lines chipping in.
Vervegas, when their top guys kind of went away towards the end of that final series, nobody was really scoring for them anymore.
It's strange, to be honest.
You hire a coach just for a playoff run and then he has the success you're looking for and then you don't extend him.
