The American League is where you season and you groom the players that aren't necessarily ready right away.

And then you get them tuned up there where you're hoping that at least one of these players can come in and hopefully maybe make a difference early on right away kind of thing.

There are too many players that are jumping in straight from junior college right out of their draft year and then coming in playing bigger minutes than they probably should have, learning to play the pro game before they have.
I get it.
These skills, the players are bigger, stronger, faster, more skilled than when myself and my generation came in kind of thing.
But still, they're being developed now, where in the past, you got developed in the minors, and then when you showed up, you better know how to play and do all the things.
So it has shifted a little bit, and that's where the coaching has changed a little bit.
