And so I could imagine an argument to something like that.
But I do broadly think that if the Democrats become a sort of firmly anti-tech party, that would be a blow to the abundance-style progressive movement.
Yeah, I don't think it will.
I mean, if it does, I think it'd be really stupid.
It's a stupid bill.
Most people like using chatbots for medical advice.
Like that's one area where people I would say do not have popular sentiments is that most people find their chatbots quite useful for doing these kinds of little tasks, giving them advice.
And I think taking that consumer surplus away from people would be a bad thing.
Similar, like I look at the Waymo battles, right?
Like it's like Waymos are safer than human drivers.
I think the research is pretty clear on that fact.
They feel safe when you're in them.
I love taking Waymos.
I do think that like I would like to see either Google or, you know, governments think about how to transition cab drivers into other roles.
Like if Waymo does expand in a city, because again, it's not those cab drivers fault.
They invested decades in a career that may go away.
But like, I do want to see Waymo's rolled out eventually.
I think the world will be better if we have technologies that make us safer.
And so to me, the question is just how do we navigate that transition in a way that is empathetic to people who sort of are the losers lost out on the technology because it devalued their skills.
But I do definitely, I would like to see a vision where we are still spreading technologies that do make us safer, make us healthier, whatever.
