It takes some natural ability and.
but the ins and outs of it, I don't know.
I mean, we don't want that if the Canucks draft Caleb Malhotra.
We don't want that to happen.
We don't have to remake Caleb Malhotra into what it's dad.
You just can't get those kind of lessons.
Do you think people truly understand?
We're talking about another player now.
how good an athlete celebrini's dad was because everyone kind of understands like yeah well isn't he like a physio or something like that he was a professional soccer player yeah yeah yeah i don't think a lot of people actually know that no they did they just know that he's the you know he's a medical staff guy right he's a he played professionally right and to get to those levels you had to be i mean you're elite at that point you're in the top percentile of people doing that uh
I also wonder if Brendan Gallagher might also be thinking like, man, would a Stanley Cup contender take a chance on me?
Could I fit in there?
I know he couldn't get into the lineup in Montreal, but I wonder if the Stanley Cup dream still burns in Brendan Gallagher because he β
I know this is a hot take here, but I think if he were to come to Vancouver, he's probably not going to win a cup.
So another guy that I'm curious about is Jake DeBrusque, because we all know that he made some comments last season about not wanting to be on a rebuilding team, and then he walked back those comments.
But I think a lot of us still expect the Canucks to explore training him.
And I'm trying to figure out what his value would be.
Because in a rising cap environment...
a guy like DeBrus who can score and has a cap hit of just 5.5 million, in theory, he should have some value.
I mean, look at the β he has 51 goals for the Canucks over the last two years, which is the most of any Canuck over those last two years.
But I looked at the NHL stats last night, and these are the guys that have had 51 goals over the last two years.
