And then, you know, then 24 hours later, of course, they get this opportunity, which is a golden opportunity to to do something that or add something that they desperately need to add.
And that's a high end prospect in their in their development pool, because.
To be frank, they don't have anything coming.
They really don't.
The cupboards are bare in Toronto, and they've been trading away picks for as long as I can recall.
So this is a big opportunity.
a pick that may occur at number two uh did you what'd you make a lot well first of all even before mike greer made any sort of a statement i i viewed it as soon as they went to two that that's going to be the disruptor at the top of the draft and the reason i say that is because the san jose sharks are locked and loaded up front with forwards but
They desperately need help on the back end.
They need to insulate their prospect pool with especially right shot defensemen.
And as you know, there's a plethora of those to go around at the top of this draft class.
So when he makes a statement like that, and he also says, well, best player available, I honestly think that we're splitting hairs on a lot of these guys.
And the need conversation is going to enter into that.
I'm not fond of that in the first round.
I think you have to always draft the best player, but...
I really, truly believe that they're going to be the disruptors.
So Vancouver falling to three, they still might get their player because of the fact that I believe that San Jose is going to target a defenseman at number two.
And maybe they'll entertain trading back a spot or two and still believe they can get that player.
