I didn't even have a liaison officer.

I mean, they didn't even do that.

They did nothing.

So anyway, I was asked to come up to the Gardaí station and I met Anthony Pettit.

And look, he said, more or less said to me that I'm after interfering and probably damaging the investigation.

And I said to him, what investigation?

I listed, I said, nobody, you haven't contacted anybody.

And he said to me, look, he said, we are building this case from the ground up.

There's a lot of work went on in the background you would have no privy to.

It got very heated with him.

From the time I went into the Garda estate, when they did the investigation, or supposedly,

I was very critical of Anthony Pettit and he was then promoted Chief Superintendent.

We were giving out saying that there's an inquiry about his role as well and he shouldn't have gotten the job and so forth.

And Anthony Pettit and his evidence in the inquiry said he was very upset over that and his family and the whole lot.

But the judge clarified it.
