I mean, I'm not going to lie.
It's not an ideal situation to have arguably your two most important players injured coming into a World Cup.
Alphonso Davies, as we all know, is a global star, and he's Canada's captain, and he's not going to be available today.
Moise Bombido, arguably their best defender, most important defender, is going to be available today, but is very unlikely to start the match.
He's been injured for...
Several months, it goes back to October.
You know, it's not the ideal preparation.
I don't think anyone within Canada soccer would argue that it is.
But what's good is that he's been selected.
That gives me belief that the coaching staff and the medical staff are confident that he can play a part in this tournament.
And that's going to be open for debate and discussion by people like us for the next couple of weeks.
But, you know, hopefully we'll see him at some point in time.
If not today, then definitely next week against Qatar in Vancouver.
Yeah, 100%.
We saw four years ago in Qatar, we played so well against Belgium, who were ranked number one in the world at the time.
But we came away with a 1-0 defeat.
And playing well doesn't translate to points.
You're not going to progress to the knockout stage by playing well and losing matches.
So this game is very important today.
You win your first game, you set yourself up nicely for the next game.
