So in the pregame scout, I mentioned on the last episode that I was in a position where I got to sort of listen in.

I was given a briefing, so to speak, by Trevor Marcus of the Blue Devil staff who talked about various players on Syracuse and things to watch out for in this game.

And one of the things he mentioned was

was he said he said he's played a little bit of video he goes you you gotta see you gotta be on the lookout for William Kyle shooting free throws he said they actually showed a video of it to the Duke team when they were doing their pregame stuff so the players would be prepared for how how awkward and weird it is when William Kyle takes a free throw because Trevor Marcus was like

would probably step in the lane you'd go wait he's when's he gonna shoot it there's this weird hitch in the middle of it it's this crazy like push shot kind of thing by the way jj starling almost does the same thing i understand a shooter like jj starling who can't hit free throws but in any event that would you should have been in the stands donald when william kyle took a free throw everybody was like what am i looking at what is this thing that he is doing

And, I mean, he missed all of them.

He's hitting 48% from the free throw line on the season.

I'm shocked.

I'm shocked that he's as high as 48% with that form.

Last year, he played on UCLA.

He hit 39% of his free throws.

I've never seen someone who was that bad at free throw shooting, and I wanted to tell the story.

So you and I have our little text chain with Scott Rich.

And I said, between Duke just blowing the doors off of Syracuse, Dunk City here, and laughing hysterically every time William Kyle takes a free throw, I'm like, I'm having the most fun I've had at a Duke basketball game in a long time.

And Scott said to us, this is such a great line.

Scott said, this is like watching the Harlem Globetrotters against the Washington Generals.

I love it.

Starling missed one, and we thought he was going to miss two, and everybody was going to win a sub, a half a sub sandwich.

That's the thing if you miss two in a row.
