He's going to โ I guarantee he's going to work on some things in the offseason, and he's going to have to take on a little bit larger role, and he's going to โ I think he's going to do outstanding at it.
Nick had seven points in this game, kept on making heady plays.
He plays super, super smart, and I thought it was very telling โ
John Shire had Jimenez in the game a lot.
When the game got tight down the stretch, Nick was in that game a ton.
He played great defense in this game.
Nick, by the way, spent a lot of time guarding Alex Caraban.
Like, Duke did something really, really interesting on defense.
I think it was probably part of wanting to make sure that Cameron Boozer wouldn't get in foul trouble.
But Cam was, like, guarding one of their wings, one of their guards, almost like their shooting guard kind of sort of thing.
Of sort of the three guards in the game, the one that was sort of the least dangerous, Cam would guard that guy, and we were putting Nick on Alex Caraban, who was their power forward.
Now, I think part of it is that Caravan isn't a guy who's going to go in the post.
So there was no reason for Cam, you know, you don't want Cam to be out there in the perimeter trying to guard him too much.
But the other reason was I think Nick was a great matchup with an outstanding player like Alex Caravan.
And Caravan had, he hit one three-pointer late, props to him, but he had a terrible game other than that.
And a lot of that was due to Nick Kemenia playing great defense on him.
Yeah, in the second half, Nick was our second leading scorer.
Like, our second half scoring was basically Cameron Boozer, Nick Hemenia, and then, like, anybody else got something for me?
Okay.
All right, we're going to take a quick break.
