Yeah, exactly. One of my favorites. Yes, Vinnie Johnson. I don't know that Ian Jackson, he's not built like Vinnie Johnson. Vinnie Johnson was like... Vinnie Johnson has a truck. Exactly. Ian Jackson's much, much thinner, but Ian Jackson's going to come in and...
Katsotaan, ettÀ ensimmÀisen minuutin, kun hÀn on pelissÀ, hÀn laittaa kolme. Se tulee tapahtumaan. Ian Jackson haluaa tehdÀ sen Dukelle. NiitÀ ovat pelaajia, joita on tÀrkeÀÀ kiinnittÀÀ tÀmÀn pelin. Olemme olleet, kuten sanoin, monia vaihtoehtoisia osia. He voivat kÀsitellÀ. He voivat olla pöydÀ ja he voivat olla fysiikkoja.
MielestÀni Blue Devils ovat 6,5 pointtia suosittuja Vegasissa. Ken Pomeroy's computer sanoo, ettÀ voimme voittaa tÀmÀn pelin 7 pointtia. TÀmÀ on todella vaikea peli.
uh it started out as a rumor and then it became the real thing uh we were talking of course about the uh fact that hubert davis is no longer the head coach of the university of north carolina uh it was announced last night that uh the school has uh i guess bought out his contract they've
He hyödyttivÀt hÀnet. Luulin, ettÀ he kysyivÀt hÀnestÀ pysyÀkseen. HÀn sanoi, ettÀ ei. He sanoivat, ettÀ tÀssÀ on iso pakko.
but I'm just going to go ahead and say that I think some of the names that have been tossed out across college basketball, names like Dusty May, names like Todd Golden, names like Tommy Lloyd, I am very, very unsure that these names make sense for the Tar Heels, because those guys especially, these guys who are already super successful at big time programs,
Almost all of them have buyouts that make it really, really difficult for you to snatch them away. Todd Golden in Florida has, I think I saw, a $16 million buyout. Carolina has a lot of money. The UNC program, there are plenty of boosters, there are plenty of folks who support that program. They've got a bunch of money. They just paid a bunch of money to make Hubert go away. They're going to have to pay a bunch of money to whoever they hire.
They obviously want to have big commitments to their NIL program. I don't know that on top of all those things, they can afford a 10 plus million dollar buyout. That is what you would have to do to get a Tommy Lloyd or a Todd Golden or a Dusty May. That's why I think the names that are more likely are guys like TJ Asselberger at Iowa State.
HĂ€n on vain 4 miljoonaa rajoitusta.
Mark Byington, Vandervilta.
Although that's another one. Billy Donovan is probably making really close to $10 million a year at the Chicago Bulls. The NBA pays coaches more than they pay them in college. That's just the reality. Same way NBA players get paid in college. So if you're going to bring Billy Donovan back, they probably would have to make Billy Donovan the highest paid coach in all of college basketball. That'd be my bet. So you're probably talking about...
12 plus million dollars a year. These are big, big numbers for UNC. So I'll be very interested in seeing what they go after and what they do. It's a lot of money and they're committing a lot of money to football too. They got some rich donors there, but I'm not sure the pockets are quite as deep as people think. I also think they have to battle with a lot of different things within themselves, right?
is that John Shire has been doing so well at Duke that UNC can't overlook that anymore. 100%. Donald, it's as simple as this. John Shire got Hubert Davids fired. There's no question in my mind about that.
It's also worth noting that it's possible. There's a lot of talk that NC State could be looking for a new coach, that Will Wade is going to, after one season, is going to leave NC State and head back to LSU where he originally had been. Donald, I saw something that absolutely broke my mind today. John Shire has been on the job at Duke. This is his fourth season. He's the fourth longest serving coach in the ACC now.
Brad Brownell on 16 vuotta, Jeff Capel 8, Mike Young 7. Kaikki muu on kolme vuotta tai pienemmÀksi. Ja John Shire tulee loppuun loppuun loppuun loppuun loppuun loppuun loppuun loppuun.
KyllÀ, vaikka voin kuitenkin sanoa, ettÀ sinÀ ja minÀ emme kuitenkaan paljoa kiinnosta siitÀ, koska toivottavasti sinÀ olet kiinnostunut Blue Devilsille, jotka eivÀt kuitenkaan paljoa kiinnosta siitÀ, ettÀ sinÀ ja minÀ eivÀt kuitenkaan paljoa kiinnosta siitÀ, ettÀ sinÀ ja minÀ eivÀt kuitenkaan paljoa kiinnosta siitÀ, ettÀ sinÀ ja minÀ eivÀt kuitenkaan paljoa kiinnosta siitÀ, ettÀ sinÀ ja minÀ eivÀt kuitenkaan paljoa kiinnosta siitÀ, ettÀ sinÀ ja minÀ eivÀt kuitenkaan paljoa kiinnosta siitÀ, ettÀ sinÀ ja minÀ eivÀt kuitenkaan paljoa kiinnosta siitÀ, ettÀ sinÀ ja minÀ eivÀt kuitenkaan paljoa kiinnosta siitÀ, ettÀ sinÀ ja minÀ eiv
So be sure to tune in to the DBR podcast right after the game. Not right after the game, like Saturday morning after the game. Because Donald's going to stick around the stadium. He's going to get us a little bit of sound from the locker room. He's going to talk to the players. And then we will have all that for you. And then hopefully we'll also be previewing a big game on Sunday. Until then, his name is Donald in D.C. I'm Jason in Atlanta. And here the Duke Blue Devils band playing us out and taking us to the nation's capital for the Sweet 16.
Hei, Duke-fans. Duke-basketball-round-upin 809-episodin. Jos teidÀn kanavanne on loppunut 808-episodin jÀlkeen, jossa katsottiin ACC-vaihtoehto Virginiaan, ÀlÀ kuuntele tÀtÀ. Kuuntele sitÀ ensin, koska siellÀ on niin paljon hyvÀÀ asiaa.
Three ACC titles in four years. I'm Jason Evans, the guy who helped me celebrate that episode this morning. There's none other than Donald Wine. Donald, how you doing? It's been a solid, I don't know, 12 or 13 hours since I last spoke to you.
