KyllÀ. Haluaisin sanoa, ettÀ hÀn tietÀÀ, ettei hÀnellÀ ollut kovin paljon kohtaa. Katsotaan muutamia rajoja. Puhumme Duke-yhtiöistÀ, jotka haluavat myös viimeisenÀ viimeisenÀ. Seuraavaksi.
Back from the break on the Duke Basketball Roundup. Jason, Donald, Scott with you as we're breaking down the brackets. Initial thoughts?
This is not our final write it in stone kind of thing. Don't have a pen and paper out there. Ooh, they said we should pick this guy. I'm not sure that we're at that point yet. Are we even that good for people to be taking that advice? We are not. I'm just going to go ahead and say it. Yeah, this is not the advice you want to take for your brackets at all. Yeah, exactly. But Donald, first off, I want you to give us... There are a lot, lot, lot...
of Duke-adjacent, former Dukeys, whoever you want to call it, folks who are going to be in this pool, if you are merely someone who loves the Blue Devils to death and you're like, I want to root for anything that is good connected to Duke, Donald has the list for you of people to root for. Give it to me, Donald.
Maybe look at Penn. Maybe see if TJ Power can go off a little bit. Actually, really quick. My wife and my son both went to Penn. And when I told her, I was like, Penn made the field. She was very excited. Oh yeah, she always loves to pick the Ivy team to upset. And obviously with her team, she's even more excited. I'm like, yeah, they made it because they have a former Duke guy who scored 40 plus points today for them to beat Yale. And she's like, there's a guy who played at Duke who's now playing at Penn? She's like...
Katsotaanpa, Donald, todella nopeasti. Olen jatkanut kaikille nÀistÀ. J. Lucas ja Mark Mitchell tietÀvÀt varmasti toisiamme. TÀmÀ on mielenkiintoinen sopimus.
Darius A. Cup on voinut tehdÀ asioita, joita sinÀ ei voida vahvistaa. Ja Wisconsin Club, kuten sanoit, joskus he vain menovat nukleereihin.
This is a game we're going to hit, you know, 18 threes in this game. And you're like, oh, OK, oh, well, thanks for showing up. So I think that's really interesting. And I don't know if I'm going to predict those teams to beat Arizona, but I think they definitely have a chance because Arizona is truly unique among all the teams in the field in that they hate to shoot three pointers.
arizona like shoots they're like one of the it's like one of the 10 fewest three-pointers of any teams in the country in the country or something like that um if you have a team that's bombing away and hitting threes arizona could suddenly have a difficult time keeping up and i think that's sort of you know yeah i mean obviously arizona has won a hell of a lot of games this year against teams that shoot a lot of threes so it's not very easy to do that and arizona's got great defenders that prevent you from doing that but
Team gets hot, Arizona could really struggle to keep up with them. All right, let's move on from the West down to the region that Duke is, you know, paired with, so to speak, in the final four, which is the South, headlined by the number one seed, Florida. North Carolina is in there as a number six. Houston's the number two. This is a, I think this is a pretty tough region. Scott, why don't you go first on it? What do you see in the South that's worth highlighting?
Työni, jonka haluan esittÀÀ tÀssÀ, on Vanderbilt. Jos olet Floridassa, olet kuten, Vandi on minun viimeinen? MitÀ tapahtui tÀÀllÀ? Miten tÀmÀ tapahtui?
Ken Palm on VandyÀ no. 12 maailmassa. Miten he ovat no. 5? VandyÀ ja St. John's ovat kaksi asiaa, josta minÀ kysyn, miten ne ovat no. 5? Se ei ole minulle mitÀÀn mieltÀ. Ja Floridassa, no. 5 VandyÀ on no. 5 maailmassa, eikö meidÀn pitÀisi pysyÀ teidÀt pysyÀ pysyÀ pysyÀ pysyÀ pysyÀ?
I mean, didn't Vandy just beat Florida like a couple days ago or something? It's, yeah. So to me, I think that's a really, really interesting potential matchup. I thought Vandy looked really good, even though they lost to Arkansas today. Like, their offense was clicking. It was that Arkansas just couldn't be stopped. But I think Vandy's a tough team. And I think that's a really interesting one. And then the other one is, like you said, Donald,
Houston in Houston. And this Houston club, they played this Arizona team really, really tight. Houston looks, you know, this just in. Kelvin Sampson's team is playing well in March.
Never seen it. Yeah, right, exactly. So I agree that the South is the second toughest region. I think Florida got no favors, but on the other hand, they're the weakest of the four number ones, so they didn't deserve to get any favors. But that's a really tough bracket for me to pick. Let's go to the Midwest. You guys are both Michigan fans. Give me really quick, Donald, you can go first on, do you like Michigan's path? I think Michigan's path is pretty nice.
I mean, different people, different organizations vote at different times, but John Shires winning coach of the year at this, I just, it's unfathomable that you could pick someone else, but you never know. My take on that region is, I know Michigan fans like you guys are looking at St. Louis and quaking in your boots to some extent. There was a point in this season, St. Louis was like 25 and 1 at one point, and I was like, this is a top 20 club.
This is a team that I'm picking to the Sweet Sixteen. I was like, St. Louis looked great. They've really struggled the past few weeks. They're capable of playing with anybody in the country, but the past couple weeks, they have not looked very good. So I'm not even so sure that they're getting past Georgia. And if they do, I really think the Michigan size is going to be a problem for them. I agree with you guys. Texas Tech, you can't penalize the team for the injuries. Look, we are Duke. We don't want to be penalized for guys missing for injuries.
Ja rakastan, ettÀ Texas Tech pysyivÀt rauhoittamalla ja menemÀllÀ peliÀ ja tekemÀllÀ parhaillaan J.T. Toppin jÀlkeen, mutta olen pahoillani, ettÀ he eivÀt olleet niin hyviÀ kuin he olivat, kun heillÀ oli J.T. Toppin. He olivat jo pieni ryhmÀ.
