And frankly, this game, he wasn't as effective on defense as he often is.

You know, I think the Carolina game and then the Florida State game were two of his better games in a Duke uniform.

He then followed that up with two games that are, you know, Malik will tell you.

I'm sure Malik will tell you himself two games that he's like, I could do better than that.

And and I wonder if maybe there was a little bit.

You know, the Virginia fans out there felt like Onyentsu deserved to win ACC Defensive Player of the Year, the award that Malik ended up winning.

I wonder if there was a little bit of like, you know, I'm going to show you, hey, everyone who voted for this guy instead of me, I wonder if Onyentsu was a little bit like, hey, this is what you missed out on, folks.

He had a hell of a tournament.

There's no question about it.

And again, I think Malik struggled a bit.

If Duke had not won that game...

We would be talking about the fact that Cameron Boozer missed two free throws with a minute 15 left in the game.

Duke was up two.

Cam went to the line to take two free throws, and he missed them both.

By the way, that is what kept him from getting to that magical 14-point mark that he needed to –

to, you know, sort of retain his outrageous, ridiculous streak that had never been achieved in the in the 21st century.

Now, luckily, after Cam missed his two, Virginia came down and Malik Thomas missed the front end of a one on one.
