At various times, Mike Babcock has not only spoken to Edmonton Oilers owner Daryl Cates, but he has met with Daryl Cates.

He has met with the Oilers key players.

He has met with Harrison Cates.

He's obviously met with Oilers president Jeff Jackson and Oilers general manager Stan Bowman.

And he is the Oilers choice.

Yeah.

I don't even know where to start, to be honest.

It's beyond ridiculous when you just take a step back.

And the fact that you saw Darren Drager's tweet that, you know, the orders reached out to the NHLPA to see if there are objections that must be resolved before potentially hiring Mike Babcock.

Can you think of any other situation where a coach got hired that you're like, man, his past is so shady that we have to reach out to the NHLPA to think if they're okay with this?
