When the new coach comes in, this group is like, okay, we got to impress the coach here.

We got to be ready to go.

And it's a new voice and they're excited.

And now this year they'll be rested, right?

I do think,

fatigue has something to do with it not everything small part of it so regardless of who the head coach is this team is going to be fine in the regular season with the roster now they obviously could make some moves like i i should say that if they don't resign connor murphy now they got a massive void again because they don't have a right shot defenseman and there's really none available in free agency but if they bring connor murphy back all year long he was very good for the orders down the stretch him and darnell nurse were their best pair in the playoffs by a mile

So I don't really buy into that this roster is grossly flawed.

There's still some questions in goal, totally valid.

But these are questions in goal for five years, and they made it sound like a final twice.

Could you try to rectify that?

But bring in Mike Babcock.

Yes, the team has to play better defensively, but I'm still not sold, guys, that that's 100% on the coach.

Because they did that under Knobloch for the first year and a bit, and then slowly it eroded.

They did it under Dave Tippett, and then slowly it eroded.

So is it the coach or are the players willing to commit all year to being good defensively?
