And so what happens is after that meeting, Deverelli comes back.

They have another meeting where I'm at.

And I'm finishing.

This is months later.

Deverelli is now on the packout list to be moved to Miami.

And I'm only about halfway, maybe halfway through with the book.

And Ross is like, listen.

you need to finish this as soon as possible.

I'm like, okay, you know, I'm working on it.

So Deverelli ends up saying, talking to Ross and he's like, listen, you know, what do you think the chances are we get this thing turned into a movie?

At that time, they were still in the kind of negotiating with, with, oh shoot, Jonah Hill to play Deverelli.

So they're in negotiations.

Jonah Hill rejected Deverelli.

the first screenplay because there wasn't enough of Deverelli in it.

And so they go back, they're kind of doing rewrites.

Even if they do rewrites, there's no guarantee the movie gets made.

Hollywood, lots of times you write a screenplay over and over again.

You attach a big name celebrity.

It goes on for years and years and years.

It took something like 10 years to get The Wolf of Wall Street made.
