If I'm the Leafs, I'm probably trying to trade everyone I can, and not because I'm not saying this out of spite.
It's just...
You've got to get some assets back.
And what you're taking apart, it's not like this was an amazing thing.
This isn't a team that's gone to Stanley Cup Final after Stanley Cup Final, right?
The pieces haven't fit yet.
So I would probably be trying to unloading, trying to maybe look to find some new players.
in return and or draft picks and then same thing in the summer you have a bit more flexibility to kind of change this team because it's not they're not fitting together the way they should be and i'll i know every time i come on the show hey as you know i say this their back end doesn't work they do not work it does not work you need and i know you don't want to hear from me again but i've watched them this weekend they do not transition the puck quick enough for those forwards
And you can see it in Matthews and Nylander.
They want that puck and go.
You've got to get guys that can move that puck.
I mentioned Shane's goth experience as an example.
It doesn't have to be him.
So, yeah, if I can find a way to move off... Carlo, Ekman, Larson, I mean, Riley, obviously.
That's not because I don't like those guys.
They need different style of players that fit with that group.
That's what they need.
Right, but that's part of the problem with it.
Listen, I was a limited guy passing-wise unless I was in practice, but the faster you get the puck out of your zone, the less time you have to spend defending.
And so I think there's a quality to that.
