I say portal, but there are freshmen, there are international bigs that Duke's also looking at that are possibilities, but we won't get into all of that.
I want to get to a couple other things about roster construction.
The first one is, especially with the way we've seen Darren Rippey playing in, you know, in the McDonald's practices, McDonald's all-star game, it's clear that Darren Rippey is going to play a lot of minutes at point guard next year for the Duke Blue Devils.
And I'm just going to go ahead and say, I think that makes it
a little bit less likely that both Caden Boozer and Caleb Foster will be back at Duke.
I hate to say that.
I would love for Duke to retain all the guys who are not going to the NBA.
I just don't think that's going to be the case this year.
I think it's just going to be harder to make everything fit.
My bet would be, if I had to go out on a limb, my bet would be that
Caleb Foster is sort of the least point guarding of those three guys.
Darren Rippey is clearly a point guard.
I think Caden Boozer is clearly a point guard.
I don't think either of them are sort of well suited to play off the ball.
Caleb Foster can play off the ball much more than those other two guys, but I'm not sure.
I think Caleb sees his future at the pro level as a point guard.
So sort of a little bit like what happened with Jeremy Roach, who took his last season and went someplace else where the ball would be in his hands more than it was at Duke.
I think Caleb may opt to do the same kind of thing.
It's just there's no way there's going to be 30-plus minutes per game at point guard for Caleb Foster at Duke, and I think there could be someplace else.
I have no intel on that.
