This, this one, these kinds of, these kinds of upsets are more shocking to me for whatever reason, then like a top five team losing to a top 12 team.
I saw a couple of things that overdrive recently.
I think part of the issue is even if I'm to take it at face value and say, yeah, he's going to have more time and give him three, four, five, six months to develop and we'll see where it is after this date or after this major.
I think one of the initial problems is the level they're playing at right now is so low that even if there's improvement from Magix as an IGL, I don't think it moves the needle that
significantly where it needs to go you know what i you know what i mean like even if he gets 50 even if he gets twice as good as an igl with what how they're playing now if that improves twice as much i still don't think it's anything like super impressive or to be excited how they're playing do you mean individual output or do you mean like tactical approach or do you mean everything
I think, well, everything but mostly tactical approach when talking about the IGL.
I think the individual level of it's a near magics and zontics hasn't been great, but I think that kind of naturally fixes itself if everyone starts to feel a lot more comfortable inside the server and what's being called and how the counterstrike is being played.
Goes to my second point where, you know, I think...
being that that's one of the things that was supposed to improve in theory by zontics coming back right the whole thing of zontics was like yeah you've increased you know individual output skill level you know potential ceiling with an individual player but you're losing kind of the intangibles that zontics does which is positioning and good decision making and being in the right place at the right time that's what he was supposed to bring back and it hasn't quite hit in that sense just yet and i think i think that's where i get to my second point which is
Weren't the changes initially made to like send magics out, to bring Zwei in, to bring Tanir in?
The conversation around that was we want to bring in some more firepower to help alleviate some of the pressure on Donk, need or need to perform.
So those changes were made with the now in mind saying we want to bring in more firepower to help to win now because we can't be so reliant on this one person.
And now the changes are made saying we made these changes, you know, knowing that it would take him three, four, five months to kind of get acclimated.
So they're being made for the future.
How fucking weird of a change, by the way, to like bring him in and be like, nah, it's not worth our time.
Like, what?
But that's it, right?
And then go and say Magix needs three months?
Honestly, I'll be honest with you.
Is it actually two years that he said?
