There is no other school
where there was 100% agreement that this is one of the five best jobs in all of college basketball, which I think is really fascinating.
So Duke was the runaway winner.
They had a point system.
Duke had 233 total points.
You have to go all the way back to 143 points for the second place team.
Second place was actually a tie between Kentucky and Carolina.
UNC had five first place votes.
Kentucky had three.
And they tied for second at 143 total points.
Functionally, it was actually a three-way tie for second because Kansas had 142 points.
So basically what you heard was Duke's the runaway number one.
Kentucky, Carolina, and Kansas are basically tied for second, third, and fourth.
And then there's a pretty big drop back, only 33 points for the fifth place school, which was UConn.
Arizona was next with 28.
Michigan had 12 points.
Florida had eight.
But by the way, the fact that I'm talking point totals this low shows you that pretty much almost everybody, again, not everyone, but almost everybody said Duke, Kentucky, UNC, Kansas.
And then they're sort of trying to figure out the fifth school to put in there.
Interesting to note.
