It's worth noting that Duke recruited Flory Bedunga.
Pretty heavily.
Um, so, so he knows he already knows John Shire he knows Duke he's visited Duke in the past, and and has a, you know, at least a little bit of a sense of a connection to the program from being heavily recruited by Duke.
The question is, you know, if he really wants to go through the NBA process.
Does Duke wait for him?
And then the other part of the question is, is Patrick Gungba coming back?
Because I don't think there's a world, I don't think there's a scenario where both Flory Badunga and Patrick Gungba are on the same team.
They both play center.
And it just doesn't, I don't think, even though you want a backup center and even though we saw Pat and Malik split time for the most part this year,
doesn't make sense for you to invest that much in one position on the floor uh so you know it becomes a challenge perhaps for john shire especially if he's if pedunga's going through the nba stuff does shire wait around for him i don't know it's a big question i do want to mention
you know flora bedunga was the big 12 defensive player of the year he is a great rim protector he is an absolute terror close to the basket dude dunks just dunks and dunks but his frame like literally his frame isn't that huge and he does sometimes get pushed around by physical big men um donald if you if you watch when when kansas lost to st john's like he only had five total rebounds in that game they lost to arizona earlier this year
It was a game Flory Badunga had two points on one of five shooting, just four rebounds.
He can get pushed around a little bit by really physical big men in a way that Patrick Gungba frankly doesn't.
Pat gets in there and really battles in a way, again, that I'm not sure Badunga does the same kind of stuff.
I know a lot of people are connecting Badunga to Duke.
I'm unsure about this one.
I like him.
He's a great player.
Again, Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, average double-digit points for a very good Kansas team.
