the way the intermittent way he plays you know like three minutes in a half and then like not playing much at all in the second half it's just so hard to get to get hot and have an impact on the game in that kind of a situation i just it's really tough for me to see him having another year where he where he takes that kind of role i mean maybe maybe john shire is able to map out improvements in a scenario where darren is more than you know three minutes in the first half and then not playing in the second half
But I strongly suspect Darren will move down to either a really good mid-major program or a mid-tier power conference kind of program.
And I think he can get paid nicely to do that.
And he'll get a chance to shoot eight three-pointers a game.
Look, just this past year, we saw a guy like Tyler Nickel was at UNC, barely played at Carolina.
Same kind of role that Darren Harris kind of has.
And he left Carolina because he wasn't getting enough playing time.
And the past two years, he's been a significant player, a really, really big time player for a very good Vanderbilt team.
We saw Cade Tyson played at UNC last year, averaged like two points per game, went to Minnesota, went down in terms of quality of his team, went up in terms of how much he could play for them, and he averaged almost 20 points per game for Minnesota.
We saw Jaden Shute play at Duke for one year, struggle, struggle to get off the bench to get any playing time, got hurt, and then went over to Virginia Tech, and he's been a significant player for Virginia Tech each of the past couple years.
Getting to shoot a lot of three-pointers and being a major part of the offense when he's in the game.
I think Darren Harris can be that kind of player.
I'm just not sure he can be that at Duke.
And after two years, I really wonder if maybe he's... Again, he loves Duke.
He would love for it to work out as a Blue Devil.
I'm not sure it ever will for him.
So I would expect that we'll probably hear his name entering the portal fairly soon.
All right.
So with that, we're going to wrap it up here on the DBR podcast.
