There'll be games next year and all that stuff.
I mean, I'm an old man now.
I've been through a lot of these things.
But what I don't take for granted is that as great as Duke and North Carolina are individually as programs, I believe this is true.
Neither would be as great if not for the other.
And I really- 100%.
Absolutely the case.
that Duke and North Carolina for the last 40 years have recruited the same guys, the same guys.
And Duke fans may not like me saying this, and Carolina fans may not like me saying this, but the programs are more alike than they are different.
They are way more alike than they are different.
And I always laugh when I was a grad assistant at Duke, we recruited the hell out of Eric Montrose.
who was just a wonderful human being and one of the nicest people I've ever known.
And when he's from Indiana, when he made his visit, one, I couldn't believe how big he was.
But, you know, he wound up going to Carolina and, you know, Bobby Hurley wound up going to Duke.
And if if Bobby Hurley had gone to Carolina, he would have been the most hated man in Durham ever.
And if Eric Montross had gone to Duke, Carolina fans would have said all the same things Duke fans said about him.
And there'd be a statue up of him because he's one of the nicest people ever.
He rivals Grant Hill as like the nicest person to ever play in the ACC.
So I just think that's, I always keep that in mind and try not to take for granted that but for the other, neither school would be what they are.
My daughter's marrying a Carolina guy in August, so I'm going to have to come up with something for the wedding.
