I'm looking at 150 grand a week.

Now, if they're giving Graeme Mertens 70 and he's 150, I think that's probably about right.

Now, I think there's a massive, massive gulf in between what the player is expecting and what the club are prepared to offer.

And a lot of people go the other way with the Scouse thing, or just because he's Scouse.

Well, not just, but in a way.

It's a boxing.

Yeah, it is a serious conversation to have because local representation in the side is one, good for the new players coming in, good for the new manager coming in, good for the supporters, good for the academy, good for the young players.

So I'd be very, very careful around this.

a plethora of options in midfield and be like, look, he's just not going to play, is he?

You know what I mean?

We can't be giving him 150 grand a week or it's not even fair to keep him.

He's just not going to play.

I think he will play for Liverpool.

I think we just talked about the right back position and how difficult that is.

He's filled in there at times.

I think he can play a six, he can play an eight.

I mean, and it'll be interesting to see how he plays underneath the manager.

So I'd be very, very careful of it because I think Liverpool need to be adding players and when you look at the leaders that have just left

You know, we've just lost Andy Robertson, we've lost Mo Salah, Ken Arte, who's a big member of the dressing room, has just left.
