Absolutely, Nathan.
Thanks for having me.
Yes, I would agree with the general statement, although there are intricacies within that that I'd love to dive into.
Yeah, so at Bessemer, so I'm here in the New York office and looking at all different types of companies across different verticals, different stages.
So a very exciting time, obviously, within tech.
Get to meet tons of amazing entrepreneurs, hear their stories, and try to basically figure out how we can help in either making a connection, helping them with recruiting, giving them advice, and then, of course, with funding.
And just touching on your point, I think there are a lot of new firms out there that are trying to take a piece of the action here.
But with that, there's money coming from overseas, there's money coming from large financial institutions, so there definitely is no lack of capital.
But I think capital, I mean, there are a lot of different types of capital, and I think the types that are going to come out on top are
I guess the smart capital, and what that means, in my opinion, of course, and please stay with The Great Assault, is that there are a lot of opportunities out there, given the thousands and thousands of companies that are starting each day, but really understanding
not just the next step, what happens next year, but knowing what happens in 2017, 2018, and then obviously beyond that in perpetuity, what does the profile of the company look like?
And obviously, I think a lot of companies, a lot of firms are trying to get at that question.
It's the million-dollar question, of course.
But I think a lot of the level of analysis going into evaluation can be a little bit misdirected.
I don't think anyone really has the key there, but...
Yeah, absolutely.
And just a quick fun fact, I think we've been really ahead of the game in terms of cloud computing, and we have over 100 investments in cloud software companies, which is pretty astounding.
Ooh, I really like Intercom.
Oh, my God.
Candy store here.
