I had plenty of homes, but no home.
No homestead.
I was a loner.
This side of the railway tracks became like a family.
I'd meet people, we would think the same, we would connect, and off we would go.
Makes sense to me.
If you haven't done it,
it's probably hard to fathom, you know, why keep continuing, which I get.
Yeah, well, part of my work is talking about it.
And talking about it actually led me to the book, you know, so it hasn't been anything I've shied away from.
Getting out of prison at first, it was hideaway, I've been in prison.
Shame.
Shame, yeah, 100%.
Shame on me, shame on my family, shame on the victims.
But now I've come to a point where it's actually my strength.
You know, I call on those things to...
not only keep me here, but bring others in and give back my experiences.
And Broads for Change, the key of it is, you know, I did it hard, so hopefully you can do it easy.
