It feels like Trae Young is in play for other teams now, and he's still good.

Like, he barely played at all this season.

But Trae Young is still a productive player when he plays.

I don't know how far he can necessarily take you, but the Wizards are trying to take the very first step going forward, so they don't really care.

So I'm curious if a team is going to try and go over the top of Washington.

and lure Trey Young away after playing a handful of games.

Yeah, unrestricted free agent now.

Widespread expectation when he did get traded to Washington, though, was he was just going to sign an extension.

There was a lot of talk of three years, $120 million.

Three years, $130 million, let's say, which would be less than obviously that player option that he turned down.

But yeah, now there's all this buzz of these other teams that are maybe or maybe not like...

going to strike out on Giannis or pivot from Giannis, like whatever.

I'm with you, TK.

I think he stays in Washington here, and this was just probably smart work by him and his team here to drum up maybe, I don't know whether it's real interest or not, but to get more dollar values out of this deal, this extension.

But I think he's staying there.

He is still a one-man offensive engine.

He just is now.

A lot of, obviously, liability on the defensive end, and how far can you really go with him as your main guy?

Yeah.

But the guy's damn good at setting up teammates and scoring.
