I thought that was surprising.

Yeah, that is surprising to me.

Just because at this point it feels like he's going to give it one more shot, one more year, and is he going to do it in L.A.

where it's unlikely at this point, if you say I'm signing in L.A., that that team is a contender at all.

Period.

So I would think he takes...

I'm going to go out on a limb and say he takes the non-taxpayer mid-level exception way cheaper than he deserves, like super, super, super cheap, like a $14 million contract, like essentially nothing for him in comparison to everything he's made.

Is it Cleveland?

I mean, that is even a reach to me at this point.

I don't think he goes back, but maybe there's another situation that he sees –

One year championship run.

He signs that mid-level exception for a one year plus a player option when he can say, OK, I'm not coming back if we win or I'm done kind of thing.

So I see that as the possibility.

But you think going to Cleveland helps his chances to win a title more than just staying with Luka and the Lakers?

I think so.

The Lakers are what are the Lakers going to be?

Yeah, I mean, I think there's a better chance Cleveland makes the finals than the Lakers.
