Attorney's Office in Washington, D.C., headed by Jeanine Pirro, has sent wide-ranging subpoenas to banks such as J.P.

Morgan, Chase, and Bank of America.

The subpoenas in part request to know whether each establishment debanked clients or closed customer accounts over political considerations.

The report signals movement on one of President Trump's top priorities regarding the financial system.

Trump directed regulators in August to investigate whether financial institutions engaged in, quote, politicized or unlawful debanking.

The president has said that he was debanked and barred from some banks after the end of his first administration.

Our reporting indicates that this is being led by the U.S.

Attorney's Office for Washington.

That is, of course, headed up by Jeanine Pirro, a very close ally of President Trump, probably familiar because her office was also the same one that was leading that probe into Fed Chair Jerome Powell.

Absolutely not.

Appearing on CNN, Pirro said a pellet that came from the suspect's shotgun was found in the fiber of the vest that saved the agent's life.

The 31-year-old suspect, Cole Thomas Allen of Torrance, California, has been charged with attempted assassination, transporting firearms across state lines, and discharging a firearm during a violent crime.

Allen could face additional charges.
