Them fields stink, and the minor leagues are awful.

Like, it's just they beat you up.

And, you know, the bigger we got, the older we got, the less we cared about how much we weighed.

You know, we were just in survive mode.

It was that kind of thing.

So, you know, soft on your feet.

It felt nice.

Like, them shoes feel a little different anyway than minor league shoes.

Just they feel different.

And you've got to buy them, too, a lot of the times in the minor leagues, which... People don't realize.

It can end up costing you money to play in the minors.

Oh, without a doubt.

I mean, the amount of money you don't make in the minor leagues, you're playing it for the love of the game.

Let's be fair about it.

Like, you know, it's changed now just the way, you know, with the khakis and how, you know, how they can and all the benefits of, you know, sort of things they can give you off the field to make you better.

Like, you know, if I made a change mechanically, I'd have to go out and apply it.

Well, basically, they can tell you right away whether that's going to work or not.
