You look at the deadline, and he's a big believer in looking at a guy who's actually having a good year.
That doesn't mean you're going to preclude anybody else.
But his argument was, hey, if I'm bringing somebody in,
to get us over the top and win a World Series, it helps that that guy is having a good year.
And I just, I've always kind of kept that.
And again, that doesn't mean you're not going to take a chance on somebody or you might not bring somebody in for the, you know, that can help you two or three years down the road.
But I've always had that in the back of my mind that, you know, sometimes the acquiring team wants somebody who's going, they don't want a project.
