Well, I think one of the things, Father, that people can do is to be reminded once again that all of the texts that they're going through right now, all of the books they're reading with you right now are Christocentric. And I would encourage people to continually read it. and think about it through the lens of Jesus.

And to compare that constantly with Saul and David and Solomon, and then I think you will grow an appreciation for Jesus, the obedient son and the king of kings. And you can get an idea of how a king should not rule and how a king should rule. And I think you can translate that into everyday life.

And so we can learn so much from these three kings as far as what not to do and what to do, but I think also to keep track of those three things that were given in Genesis 12—the land, a royal dynasty, and a worldwide blessing— And God is showing you through these stories in 1 and 2 Samuel and 1 Kings, he's showing you his heart.
