he had shows on showtime and hbo neither of which i saw because we couldn't afford showtime or hbo so i didn't get the gary shandling thing and now seeing him put in context comedically historically is so much more helpful someone like me like i understand people love gary shandling and worship him but i never understood exactly why because i didn't watch those shows and now i'm sort of getting it because i watched the first part
