is not working at all, let me just drop it completely and, you know, try something else, which I think Google Brain did quite well with.
We had a very kind of bottoms-up UBI kind of chip allocation.
How did UBI?
Yeah, it was like basically everyone had one credit and you could pool them.
Ah, okay.
I think that's a good idea.
Yeah.
And then Gemini, I mean...
has been mostly top-down, which has been very good in some sense because it has led to a lot more collaboration and people working together.
You less often have five groups of people all building the same thing.
You're building interchangeable things.
But on the other hand, it does lead to some incentive to...
uh to say hey what i'm doing is working great and then then then like as a lead you hear like hundreds of groups and everything so you should give them more chips and there's less of an incentive to say hey what what i'm doing is not actually working that well let me try let me try something different so i think going forward we're going to have you know some amount of top down some amount of uh bottom up so as to incentivize sort of both of these behaviors collaboration
and flexibility, because I think both those things lead to a lot of innovation.
