Our conversations and our dialogue, I've learned a lot about the game of baseball and more about our organization.

So I'm very grateful for that opportunity to have him be involved with some of our folks in player development and continue that forward now as our manager.

Skip, you were a National League guy your whole career before the DH.

So as this offense evolves with the ballpark factors, are we going to be looking at it?

Hey Skip, you know, you talked about culture going back to that first year in Miami, you're taking over a team that had just lost 93 games, 15 game turnaround, you make the playoffs.

What was the culture you found and what were the keys to creating a winning culture that quickly?

Skip, going back to the offense, from your standpoint, what is a manager's role and how do they, you talk about offensive philosophy or whatever, how does a manager go about implementing that to a team?

What does that look like on your end in terms of getting that message to players and having it printed out on the field?

No, I mean, I think that was very well said.

Just to piggyback on some of that, one of my observations over the course of the year as we watch 162 games, inevitably things are going to come up, and

I basically got to the point about a quarter or halfway through the year that Skip was going to say exactly what I was thinking.

So when you talk about alignment, just the back and forth, the way that we see the game, our standards, our expectations, like, I mean, it crystallized pretty early on in the process.

And in many ways, he would see things that I wouldn't and challenge me to see the game in a different way.

So just having that time with him throughout the course of the year, I think really sharpened the way that I see the game.

And I'm looking forward to continue that in the future.
