But the thing, you know, for us it was if we didn't sign him, we're going to find it, and how much are we going to spend trying to find it, right?

And it was a fit for us, and he fits really well in our room.

He's a leader.

So to chase it around, God knows how much it would have cost and, you know, what that would have looked like, the term and everything.

So it's worked out really well.

You know, anytime you... I mean, there's definitely theories out there that you need... Your defensemen have to all be over 6'1 to be successful in the playoffs.

And, you know, there's teams that have done that.

But this is a player that...

To me, the underrated part about his game is his compete.

It's crazy.

This guy is going against six-foot-five guys.

He's going against Thompson.

He's going against guys every night bigger than him.

He comes out with pucks more than any player I've ever seen.

It's crazy.

If you're on the bench, how can you not come back with that attitude your next shift if this guy's doing that?

To me, he's very skilled.
