We are getting pretty close where I bet they have made a decision there. And, you know, I don't have full, like, transparency into that process or what that looks like. That's just kind of how it was phrased to me. But to me, what that says is they have stuff to talk about. Do they have the time and bandwidth for their teams to build an asset for a showcase?
Like, that is a big ask these days for these teams who have so many moving parts. Like, make a build of the game that we can just, like... shoot a trailer, a gameplay trailer inside of? Or can you do like a meeting twice a week with this external vendor who's going to make a CGI trailer for your stuff and you're going to have to guide them through that?
Can you, you know, take hours out of your day? And it's very time consuming. So I bet that is the hang up there. But I think the good news is they probably will have stuff to talk about one way or another at some point.
Yeah, I mean, I'm sure there's discussions about like what the benefits would be of putting on a big mind blowing showcase if they could at this point. And you're right. I bet there's some conversation of like, do we need that in this moment? We have games to sell people that will get people to buy PS5. So I think they I would probably lean towards a state of play in this moment.
But that's just me guessing. I'll try to I'll ask. I'll ask around.
uh and i mean yeah it's just talking about summer game fest season like it's it's gonna be a weird one because i don't expect we're gonna get much from nintendo because we just got their big uh blowout i mean not only that like you know we're gonna go to summer game fest right i should be there i'm planning to be there and do you expect like a lot of developers from outside of the country to want to travel to the united states i bet a lot of them like like i might not even want to do that
On the plane, playing Mario Kart.
I wouldn't be surprised if we do get a Nintendo Direct. BanderSN in chat says that. In June, to set up the second half of this year with a few more games... I've heard a lot of people speculate, people who I think have a good head on their shoulders, that they think Nintendo has one more big game for this holiday. I know a lot of people are like, 3D Mario. I'm not there.
But I do think they probably have like one more thing for this holiday. And then they could set up the early part of 2026. I wouldn't be surprised if that's exactly how it goes down.
Definitely the Odyssey. Yeah.
Yeah, it feels like it. Right? Yeah, it feels like it for sure. Yeah.
There's the Zelda Warriors game again. There's a new one of those. So, yeah, they do have games that they have to find a slot for. I think when I was listening to Kit and Chris to talk about it, they were kind of gaming it out. And they're like, hey, there's maybe a room. I would put this here and this there. And maybe there's room in November for something. Or even December. It's Pokemon. Yeah.
Yeah. Pokemon, yes, that's probably actually the November game for me.
Is it 2020? I think so.
Jeff, thank you. That's right. The Zelda game is winter. Quote, unquote, winter. So that gives them the leverage to do either the holiday or the earlier part of 2026. Okay.
