I think there's cautious optimism, but I think there's pessimism that the Steelers just are the same team they've been for the last 8, 9, 10 years.

You know, Herbig's not a starter, and he got $25 million a year, which tells you what they think of him, even though he hasn't assumed that role yet.

I think he's a guy that you might look back in three years and say, wow, that was a bargain.

based on where his salaries go and on what they project his production to be.

This is a team that needs to get younger.

They need to identify a few younger players and sign them to long-term deals, and that's what they're doing.

The big one they have left is their corner Joey Porter Jr.

That's going to be a tougher negotiation, probably won't get done until they're in training camp or maybe right before the start of the season.

No, and I didn't mean to slight him, especially at his size, because he's a very intimidating dude.

You know, I think I worry about his knees.

He had knee problems, which is why he dropped in the draft.

His first year was bad because of knees.

Now he's been better recently.

But guys that size, like, takes one guy to undercut.

That's one thing I'm concerned about with Washington.
